The pleasure of the grand persons is to make others happy. One translation. Another is “The pleasure of the great people is to bring happiness, make themselves happy”.
My favorite, though, is “the passion and enjoyment of great people is making happiness“.
“Passion and Enjoyment” bring purpose, drive, significance, and greatness and pleasure. They also bring self fulfillment – self fulfillment like in fulfilling of the self as well, together with the human self.
“Making” results in realized creation, materialization of the thoughts, emotions, and being, into matter, bringing energy “from nowhere” to the new “dough” of what is, and used to be called, happiness.
New life, new energy, new beginnings. “New” Joy. “Great people” is us all.
