Not all that we have acquired during our lives is still necessary. It does not serve us today, and it won’t serve us in the future (I’m sure).
Some of the things we don’t need, they simply fall off. We then shed. We are not even aware that they are there, we don’t need them anymore, we let them fall. Just like a wolf shedding their coat in the summer. No need, don’t care, we know we are going to have them back, or more, if we need them.
Some of the things we don’t need but believe we cannot get back if we need them, we keep them tight. We don’t want to let them go. We are attaching them to us, even when they (it’s still us, though) want to leave. But we don’t believe we will get them back – they as such, or a substitute to give us the support we need – and so we cling to them. Until we have to give up. It’s no longer possible – for different reasons – to still keep them. We feel depleted, empty, after we have been angry and frustrated, and put even more effort into sticking to them. We feel powerless.
Sometimes we know we need to change for us to go where we want to be, so we start an intentional act of changing what we believe stands in the way. This is the act of release. We may know exactly what we want to let go of, like a specific habit, or we might just rely on our intuition and let everything that is not aligned with who we want to be go. We are strong in our intention, and any setback or emotional unsettlement is just a milestone on the road. We are powerful, we believe in ourselves and in our ability to move on in the face of adversity.
When we believe we will have everything we need, we will start the natural process of shedding. Until then, we are trapped in the give-up or release. Neither pleasant, nor effective.
The future is now – everything you believe is true today will be true tomorrow.
Find out what you believe today that doesn’t allow you to let go of what you don’t need and bring in what you need. Today. Now.
