Appoint And (God Forbids) Disappoint

They are two poles, aren’t they? Can you see it?

Of course yes, but not when you say “please, don’t disappoint me!”.

Appoint and disappoint are two actions – one is somehow more unconscious, the other one is very conscious. What happens if you make them both conscious? or for that matter, both unconscious? Let me up, don’t let me down.

The moment you appoint yourself, you are not looking (and longing) for others to do it, to pick you, to make you feel useful, important, necessary, valuable. The moment you pick yourself YOU MAKE YOURSELF important, necessary, useful, valuable. There is no point in feeling different when you disappoint yourself – it becomes merely the action of ending your appointment as a necessary, natural and logical even consequence.

It takes a lot of courage – or maybe just a higher awareness and understanding – to be able to appoint yourself. Remember that when you do that, you recognize your value, your power, your contribution, your uniqueness. Something that is really needed, valued, and necessary.
