By nature we “compare” ourselves with the ones “running” in front of us, or the ones “running” after us.
By nature we thrive for the best and we are great contributors in our own ways – and times.
The defect in not being able to see the balance between the before-runners and the after-runners, make you fall into non-fulfillment, unhappiness and permanently seeking for the meaning of life.
‘Cause when you are looking up only, you will elude your self-confidence and worthiness, you will not see your unique and valuable talents and gifts. What you do is running constantly to become better. Better to what? The fore-runners already found their own gifts, they became the inspiration you needed to find your owns, not to copy them to the gift.
And if you’re looking down only, you will become cocky. You will believe that there’s nothing better than you, and you will want everybody to follow you. Willingly, or “let’s us make them willing”. You will become “inhuman” , and you will not be able to use your already discovered gifts and talents to contribute to humanity. The world will not receive your givings, and you’ll feel empty and reckless.
By looking up AND looking down, we feel in balance. We know we can be better and we know we are valuable. We see the inspiration, and we see the contributions. We are fulfilled, happy and worthy, with value.
